Farnham Buffered Iodine Spray can aid in the control and treatmen of topical bacterial and fungal infections in animals

ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS: Each L contains:
POVIDONE IODINE    50 g/L equivalent to 5 g/L available iodine

About 70% of cuts and wounds occur on the lower limb of animals, which usually heal considerably slower than skin wounds on the upper body, often delayed by contamination and infection. Lacerations, wounds, skin abrasions and low grade bacterial and fungal infectious of the skin are the most common problems of domestic and other animals. FARNAM BUFFERED IODINE SPRAY is a safe and effective topical spray suitable for general antiseptic purposes on the skin of the most animals. It can be used to control topical infection of the skin, keeping wounds dry and covered with a protective residue film of iodine to provide prolonged activity.

BUFFERED IODINE SPRAY may be used in numerous surgical procedures and as a topical agent for various dermal and mucosal infections such as wounds, cuts, abrasions, burns, ringworm, navel disinfection in newly born animals, castration and docking wounds, udder wounds and cut teats.
BUFFERED IODINE SPRAY contains "safe" povidone iodine that does not irritate skin or wound surface if used as recommended. BUFFERED IODINE SPRAY in the quiet operating pump action pack is ideal for spray on the horses and other animals that often become frightened by the `hissing' sound of pressure-pack topical sprays.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Shake bottle and hold upright. Apply BUFFERED IODINE SPRAY using the economic pump action.

Hold bottle about 15 cm from area to be treated. Spray the affected area twice daily until healed.

Notes of Caution

DO NOT APPLY TO EYES OR MUCOUS MEMBRANES.

Avoid application of iodine basic antiseptics to the skin of cats as ingestion from licking a wound may result in allergic reaction to iodine.

Government regulations limit iodine residues in milk. Thoroughly wash residues from teats and udder wounds before milking cows or goats.
