High-Fat Stabilised Rice Bran with Calcium, Vitamin E and Selenium

 EQUI-JEWEL, a high-fat stabilised rice bran with added vitamin E and selenium, increases the energy density of a ration, thereby decreasing the amount of grain necessary to fulfill energy requirements of horses during growth, lactation or athletic performance. Replacing a portion of the grain allotment with EQUI-JEWEL helps to limit starch intake and therefore assist in reduction of the risks of digestive upset often associated with excessive grain and minimal forage intake.  

EQUI-JEWEL contains a balanced calcium to phosphorus ratio. In its natural state, rice bran is richer in phosphorus than in calcium. Excessive phosphorus in the diet inhibits calcium absorption, which may compromise skeletal integrity or induce developmental orthopaedic disease. Therefore, EQUI-JEWEL can be fed without upsetting the calcium to phosphorus ratio in the diet of a horse, and can be used as a calcium supplement.

To achieve superior coat condition, EQUI-JEWEL can be supplemented to horses of all ages. EQUI-JEWEL is a highly digestible and highly palatable source of unsaturated fat for horses. Fats are composed of glycerol and essential fatty acids, elements linked to elastic skin and glossy hair coats.

Use of EQUI-JEWEL can lead to rapid gain in condition. Reports from the field indicate growing horses, hard keepers and equine athletes have shown improved body condition after supplementation with EQUI-JEWEL. Performance horses have increased needs for antioxidants to protect muscles against oxidative damage. For this reason, vitamin E and selenium are added to EQUI-JEWEL.

INGREDIENTS:

Stabilised rice bran, calcium carbonate, vitamin E, selenium
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Feed 0.5 - 1kg per day to 500kg horses. Up to 3kg per day can be fed to 500-kg horses. Replace 1 cup of oil with 0.5kg EQUI-JEWEL. Mix well with feed. Introduce EQUI-JEWEL gradually over several days, starting with a handful. EQUI-JEWEL is high-energy complementary feed, which should be added to the horse's daily ration when additional calories are desired.
