COMPOSITION
Thiamine HCl (Vit B1) 15 g/kg, Alpha tocopherol (Vit E) 50% 20 g/kg, Sodium sulphate anhydrous 100 g/kg, Sodium chloride 75.5 g/kg, Sodium bicarbonate 510 g/kg, Potassium chloride 62 g/kg, Sodium citrate 17.5 g/kg, Dextrose 167 g/kg

Actions
THIASAL E is a palatable powder for addition to the diet of racing and working horses for the prevention and treatment of conditions such as stress induced dehydration, acidosis - particularly from sodium loss during heavy sweating, Tying Up Syndrome, myositis, anxiety and excitability. THIASAL E replaces the electrolytes lost in sweat, helps prevent muscular disorders following from hard exercise, and helps calm nervous or excitable horses. Nervous horses use excessive electrolytes. Thiamine HCl (Vitamin B1) plays a vital role in conversion of the muscle waste products lactic and pyruvic acids. A deficiency of B1 leads to accumulation of these acids with subsequent muscle soreness, weakness, weight loss, irritability and nervousness. Although B1 levels in quality grain diets are usually adequate, they can be low in over mature grains and hay, and the demand for B1 in working horses is much higher than normal. Alpha tocopherol (Vitamin E) is necessary for integrity of cell membranes, and is an essential co-factor in the synthesis of Vitamin C. Deficiency of Vitamin E is characterised by muscle weakness and wasting, high SGOT levels in serum, and ECG changes. At recommended doses THIASAL E provides 300 mg alpha tocopherol per day. Electrolytes: a balanced level of sodium, chloride and bicarbonate electrolytes are provided in THIASAL E. Potassium chloride is provided at a higher level than normal, as cereal grains and feeds frequently have inadequate levels of potassium, and racing or hard working horses with low potassium levels show reduced appetite, easy exhaustion, over excitability, and disturbances in tissue fluid balance.

Key Features & Benefits:
THIASAL E is supplemented daily in feed or water. * THIASAL E replaces the electrolytes lost during heavy sweating, and helps prevent Tying Up. * THIASAL E calms many nervous or excitable horses. THIAMINE, VITAMIN E AND ELECTROLYTE

Dosage and Administration
Mix 30 g THIASAL E through food daily, or dissolve 30 g in a fresh bucket (25 Litres) water daily for fussy eaters. Available in 4kg bucket.  Store below 25◦ C (Air Conditioning). Store in a dry place. Replace lid tightly after use.

Notes Heavy Sweaters: THIASAL E helps prevent Tying Up and replaces essential electrolytes lost in sweat , so is of value in those horses which are very excitable on race or competition day, in combination with TRANQUIL Paste given 24 hours, and again 4-6 hours preevent.
Endurance Events: THIASAL E is of value as a routine daily supplement in many hard working endurance horses, especially those which sweat more than average horses. Combine with ENERGETIC POWDER in drinking water as required. May use UNTIE or TRIPART as well for those which may tend to develop tight muscles and high heart rates during hard rides.
