A gentle, highly effective wound cleansing preparation that can be applied to clean debris and residues from healing wounds.

ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS: Each L contains:
PROPIONIC ACID    35 g
MALIC ACID    15 g
PROPYLENE GLYCOL    78.5 g

Wounds heal more quickly with less scarring if they are kept clean and protected during the initial healing period. The organic acids in FARNAM WOUND KLENSE assist in the removal of necrotic tissue (dead or dying skin cells), serum discharges, pus and other debris from wounds. The acidic environment provided by these acids also helps to limit bacteria and fungal growth on the wound surface.

Removal of damaged tissue and maintaining a suitable environment by regular application to limit infection promotes rapid healing and the regeneration of healthy tissue. Maintaining a clean, low moisture, healthy wound environment also limits the development of "proud flesh".

WOUND KLENSE is non-greasy and aids in preventing tissue from drying out. It provides a source of energy for regeneration of the skin surface and helps maintain a protective action against infection and repels excess moisture, thereby limiting the build-up of "proud flesh".

WOUND KLENSE is a gentle, highly effective wound cleansing preparation that can be applied to clean debris and residues from healing wounds.
It is best applied prior to the application of other wound disinfectants and healing preparations such as FARNAM BUFFERED IODINE and FLINT'S MEDICATED OIL.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. For external use only.

Spray the surface of the open wound to remove embedded dirt, grit and dried debris from the affected area. The residue of solution left on the wound aids removal of dead tissue and promotes healing. Wounds may be bandaged with a dressing soaked in WOUND KLENSE and changed daily. Repeat as necessary.
