HUDSON DE-CIDE® is a sedimentary rock composed of diatoms that were formed in a freshwater lake over thousands of years. Diatoms are opaline silica skeletal remains of microscopic, photosynthetic algae.

Compared to other DE products, HUDSON DE-CIDE® naturally has a higher amorphous silica since it was more recently formed. It can be used as a natural pest control that kills small, soft bodied insects (such as ants, beetles, cockroaches, earwigs, fleas, mites, lice, snails, slugs, ticks) by removing portions of their waxy waterproof membrane. These insects cannot develop a resistance to HUDSON DE-CIDE®'s natural process, compared to chemical pesticides currently in use.

The diatom structure of HUDSON DE-CIDE® makes it unique and effective in eliminating insect pests.

HUDSON DE-CIDE® can assist in plant growth through the plant's absorption of Plant Available Silica. This may: - Improve plant resistance to pest and diseases - Reduce effects of drought - Increase farming yields.
