TURMERIC      (Curcuma longa) Min 5% Curcumin

Turmeric is a rich source or curcumin, which is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.  A popular natural remedy for treating horses and dogs with stiff joints.

Turmeric is not water soluble: it is fat-soluble. To increase bioavailablity and absorption it is recommended to combine termeric with Black Pepper and healthy fats 

Turmeric is not recommended for for pregnant mares.  Pets prone to urinary stones should not be given turmeric as it can increase urinary oxalate levels.

General Feeding Guide:

Horses

2 Tablespoons added to food or as directed by your vet

Dogs

Small 1/8- 1/4 teaspoon daily

Medium : 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon daily

Large: 1/2 - 1 teaspoon daily
